This is my Week 2 world countries map. This week I learned the distinction between opening a map document (using Open) and adding (never Opening) datasets to the document.
I was torn between adding the legend - because maps should have legends - or not adding the legend, because it's not called for in the directions. I compromised by trying to compensate for the lack of legend with a descriptive title.
I just read Dilya's comments about inserting the legend on the map. That's great to be thinking about the map's usefulness...the numbers on the legend are very long and cumbersome...I wonder how they could be modified so they would fit well in the map. Thanks for thinking about it Dilys!
